Not really 10,000, this is just the way that the Chinese have of describing that there are a lot of them. 10,000 seems to be the number that they use for everything that has to be done a lot. Here, Eli Montaigue carries on with the long awaited series on the main applications from the postures of the Yang Lu-ch'an form showing not only the basics but also the dim-mak applications following each posture. This is not meant to teach the Old Yang Style as one should already know it, it is just to demonstrate and to teach what each posture is for. On this volume Eli takes you from the posture known as High Pat On Horse, in the third 3rd, right through to the end of the form.
MTG401
On this DVD, Eli goes into more detail than ever before, showing all the real street applications, exactly what the legs and feet do. And a whole section where Eli is asked to take off his shirt to show exactly what the waist muscles are doing during Fa-jing striking. The little known B side of the Small San-Sau is also shown in great detail. Nearly 3 hours long, Filmed at one of Eli's training camps in Wales. He even shows how to headbutt! A must for Small San Sau training.
MTG399 & MTG400
The bagua linear pole form, is a power building form, for both your physical muscle power, as well as your internal fa-jing power.
Symply practicing this form, even at a slow pace, due to the size of weapon and what we do with it in the form, will give a great uper body workout.
It also has some lovely low postures, as well as some leaps and kicks. So when it come to fitness, this is the form for you!
This is a Fa-jing form, and so again with the weight of the pole in your hands, performing Fa-jing in this way will enhance the power of all your other weapons training, as well as your empty
handed training. There are some fancy moves through out, as you would expect from a weapon form, but it also has some very practical and deadly aplications of Dim-Mak, all shown on the DVD. Performed and Taught by Eli Montaigue. Each DVD is packed with almost 2 hours of information.

At its highest levels, that of the “Small Frame” form, Tai Chi is a very potent healing method as well as self defence. Here, Erle Montaigue takes some of the pos-tures and sets of postures from the Yang Lu-ch’an old form and shows how to use them to heal the body and the internal Qi flow. He shows why for instance “Snake Creesp Down” is called that! Not because your left hand is like a snake creeping down your leg but because of the way the left palm moves in an S shape “like a snake”. This movement not only sets up very potent dim-mak strikes but also sets up the backbone so that the maximum amount of energy is available for healing or fighting. Every move we make in Tai Chi albeit so slight, means something and what the hands do at the advanced levels causes minute energy changes in the body. Erle shows that although we do movements in the form that would never be used in fighting, these same movements are some of the most potent self defence methods when used at their small frame level. We are having a lot of success with people who are practicing just these methods even though they may not evven know all of the Tai Chi form yet. Erle has an article on his website on the about.

Tai Chi: Secrets: What Yang Lu-ch'an Knew: Putting It All Together
Volume 4
NB:// Series Now available to everyone.
This is the stuff Tai Chi is made of. This is where the "lights go on"!
Ending the 2nd third and beginning the 3rd Third. The third 3rd of YLC

up a little higher to indicate that the "Qi is raising up the back"
M
TG394The best way to learn something is to simply ask. More information is forced out of a teacher when the students put him on the spot and he has to answer all questions thrown at him. Way back some 30 years ago, Erle Montaigue would sit around a table on his farm in the North of New South Wales in Australia and have a cuppa and some of Sandra's muffins. The students would ask questions as Erle was now "captive" to them and some of the best lessons came out of those sessions. Erle would always kick himself for not filming those sessions. Nowadays, the Q&A sessions are back and again some of the best lessons come from them. Only now, the are captured on video. In this session, Erle answers questions and demonstrates those answers physically on just about every subject from self defence to healing and being a qigong doctor. Using the postures from Tai Chi as healing methods, healing using your own energy and the correct way to put energy into someone to heal them.

The Knife: Real World Knife Fighting: Training and Application Volume 4
This DVD sees the start of a series of titles covering real world street knife defence and use. Seeing what many others are teaching about how to use a knife in a real self defence situation, this series is an attempt to show and teach students how NOT to be killed using stupid techniques such as grabbing the arm that is holding the knife! Erle Montaigue lends his vast experience in the real world of knife fighting. In this 2nd volume, Erle covers more on "Eagle Vision" and how to "If Someone Attacks you, Attack Him First" methods. Plus we begin the exciting area of "Bagua Knife" which means 8 Diagram Knife. There are 8 two person training methods firstly using a fighting stick which represents a knife.
Included on this volume are Nos. 5 & 6 of the Bagua knife drills. Each set also has 8 either defence/offence and moves making a total of 64. We then go on and use the rubber knife using those same 8 methods. This is an excellent way to take your movements to a reflex level. You will need a rubber practice knife, some arm guards, a real knife and a piece of dowelling about 2 feet in length. (60 cm).

Qi Development Tools Volume 7: Gaining heavy Hands: Power Striking
This Volume teaches an excellent area of the 12 Qi Development Tools. The
area of gaining very powerful strikes from a very short distance. Even a
small person is able to gain the power from only one inch away from the
target and that's where real fighting happens. If you take someone’s arm,
rip it off and hit someone with it, you could kill them as an arm is a
very heavy object. However, most martial artists never realize their full
potential in that they will use adverse muscle groups to make their arms
“light”.
Here is where the 12 Qi Development tools come into play. Each of them
teaches at a sub-conscious level, a different striking method, causing the
attacking arm to remain heavy. The first Qigong Tool “HEART” teaches us
how to keep the heavy hands during the normal Tai Chi fist. As soon as you
THINK about striking someone, you have lost it and you will lose this
ability. So the “SUNG” State gained from each of the 12 methods gives you
this ability to not telegraph the attack and to not THINK before or AS you
strike. Each of the 12 Qi Development Tools is shown once only as this is
not a DVD to actually TEACH the 12 as that is already covered in previous
volumes. But the “Heavy Hands” or putting the WEIGHT in to your hands and
arms is taught for each method. Some very useful SELF DEFENCE Methods are
also taught in this volume and with more ideas and methods of fighting.
This volume covers the last 8 methods and carries on from MTG391.
MTG391
Qi Development Tools Volume 6: Gaining heavy Hands: Power Striking

also taught in this volume and the next along with more ideas and methods
of fighting. This volume covers the first 4 of the 12 Qi Development Tools
in this vein. The next volume will cover the following 8 methods.
MTG390
Qi Development Tools Volume 5: The Notes to the 12 Tools. Advanced
Level
Just the same as in any internal study, we begin with a basic or beginning way in which to begin learning. Although the 12 Qi Development Tools Qigongs are as advanced as it gets, traditionally, there was a distinction between what was taught to the beginner and what was taught once mastered. The reasoning behind this is that some of the hand movements in particular are so intricate that it would take forever to teach it at the level to a beginner. So the beginning way was always taught first. Here, Erle shows the more intricate hand moves. These will take your Qigong to a higher level. You will then be able to work out how the most advanced way of Tai Chi is to be performed. In this advanced level, there are number of other "Qi Activations" along certain meridians as we do the 12 Qigong methods. It is of course important to have learnt from the beginning 3 12 Qi Development Tools videos as Erle does not actually teach each one again, but rather adds to them.

Tai Chi Chee Sau (Sticking Hands) Fully Explained: Volume One
In this short series, Erle teaches the important area of Tai Chi Chee Sau or Sticking Hands. Erle has covered this area of one's push hands straining briefly on other DVDs but never in such great detail in a dedicated DVD set. Chee Sau is not an advancement of Push Hands but rather an addition where we join hands with a partner and begin circling the hands 180 degrees out of phase, never losing contact. We learn to use Eagle Vision and to attack as soon as we are attacked with the shortest route and with the greatest power from short distances. We learn at a reflex level how to know when an attack will happen and to move the body accordingly in an instant and to re-attack to vital points. We learn how to react at a sub-conscious level by taking in how the opponent's body moves in order to know what type of attack is immenent even before it happens!
MTG388
Small Frame Fa-Jing or Small Internal Explosive Energy: Also “Small Frame” Single Push Hands.
Erle Montaigue taught “Small Frame” at his 2010 Summer Camp. The whole camp’s theme was “Small Frame”, allowing students to see and participate and learn the highest levels of just about everything. Even if a student is not ready for this level of learning, it is always important to see their teacher doing the highest level so that their inner mind knows what is to come.
Here, Erle teaches an exciting area of “Small Fa-Jing”. We begin with the larger fa-jing which is by the way much smaller and more explosive than what most teach. Then we take it down into small fa-jing where there is hardly any body movement. Erle demonstrates this power on punching mitts which shows that even more power can be got using Small Frame Fa-Jing. He then continues this way and takes you into Healing Fa-Jing which is often called “Acupuncture Without Needles”. This is where we take that immense power generated by Self Defence Small Fa-jing and put it into the internal realms so that only the “Energy” or “Qi” is emitted into the acu point that needs healing. This is the highest level of healing and necessary for all acupuncturists who only know where to stick needles but who do not know how to “put energy”.
Erle also covers an important area of Small Frame Push Hands of which there are three methods: High, Middle and Low. It shows that you do not need to hold your arms out from the body in order to stop powerful attacks. Attacks happen in your face, so this way of push hands takes you into the realms of self defence push hands and works hand in hand with “Small Fa-Jing”.

Small Frame Large San-Sau Two Person Set Volume One
Filmed at Erle Montaigue’s Summer Camp 2010, this series takes your two person set of Large San-Sau to the highest level of “Small Frame”. The whole camp’s theme was “Small Frame”, allowing students to see and participate and learn the highest levels of just about everything. Even if a student is not ready for this level of learning, it is always important to see their teacher doing the highest level so that their inner mind knows what is to come.
Large San-Sau teaches us “how” to move in a self defence situation. It teaches us to move as the attack is beginning to be launched. It gives us a “reflexive” mind that will move the body immediately upon his attack being thrown at us. Also covered is a small section on Small Frame Push Hands which is also relevant to San-Sau.
Small Frame is where Tai Chi ch’uan and Baguazhang come to their pinnacle. This is where it all ends and what we have been working toward for many years. Once learnt, “Small Frame” methods will then grown into everything you do an give you real self defence!

What Yang Lu-ch'an Knew: VOLUME 3 (This Level of Tai Chi is the Highest

mastering the lower levels would not give you anything!
Tai Chi: Secrets: Putting It All Together Volume 3
This is the stuff Tai Chi is made of. Please note that this series of DVDs
is ONLY available to our most trusted customers & instructors and
students! It will under no
circumstances be sold to anyone else until they have proven themselves and
even then some more! This is where the "lights go on"!
I began my Videos with the idea that I would not hold things back like
others would. So as you can see, I now have more videos on every possible
subject of the Internal
Fighting/Healing arts than any other instructor and was also the FIRST
person ever to put Tai Chi onto Video way back.
However, this "fault" of mine has caused me some grief in that others have
then taken MY information that I have fought for hard and long to get over
the past 35 years and
they have used it to gain money without even acknowledging that it was
from me that they obtained the information! Whole books have been
published about things that
could ONLY have ever come directly or indirectly from myself! So now that
I am finally into the final stages of one's Tai Chi training and giving
out the stuff that really
turns the lights on (as all who have been taught this will tell you), I am
forced to withhold this information from everyone other than my most
trusted students and instructors. Takes you up to the first two kicks in
YLC form.

Dim-Mak has as it is not an art unto itself! However, the masters of
Wudang only taught these 4 cornerstone forms at the end of one's training.
They taught you how to turn movement into reflex actions in real fighting
situations and also for healing the body. Here Erle teaches the Fourth of
the forms, the "The Mountain" form, which works upon the Gall Bladder,
Liver and Triple Heater meridians. Here we gain the power of stillness
within. However, there are times when the stillness has to explode into
action such as a volcano! This form gives you that ability. Some potent
Qigong Methods also in this/these forms.

different qigong methods are taught and practiced.

Yang Lu-ch'an consolidations Vol 1
(MTG 355)
Eli Montaigue, Erle's son and now
head of the WTBA has viewed over many weeks all of Erle's DVDs on the
differing levels of Yang Lu-ch'an's old form. This was done in an effort
to bring WTBA instructors into line as to what and how to teach this
complicated form. Eli shows the various mistakes that most instructors
make when they for instance, go straight into the more advanced of Erle's
forms rather than beginning at the beginning etc. He then filmed this
class so that all WTBA instructors would be teaching the same form! This
volume is 2 hours and covers from the beginning to half way through the
2nd third up to the Wave Hands Like Clouds set. NB:// Eli does not teach
this form, but rather show individual postures.

Dim-Mak Cornerstones V. 3 “The Valley Form”
For the first time ever, the very rare 4 Dim-Mak forms or "Cornerstones of
Dim-Mak" are taught by Erle Montaigue. These are the only forms that
Dim-Mak has as it is not an art unto itself! However, the masters of
Wudang only taught these 4 cornerstone forms at the end of one's training.
They taught you how to turn movement into reflex actions in real fighting

the forms, the "Valleys" form, which works upon the Pericardium, Bladder
and Kidney meridians. Some potent Qigong Methods also in this/these forms.

They taught you how to turn movement into reflex actions in real fighting
situations and also for healing the body. Here Erle teaches the second of
the forms, the "Air or Sky" form, representing the 3 organs of Lung, Colon
and Stomach meridians. The Qigong associated with this form is called
"Mind/Body Qigong.

In this series, Erle takes you
through the first of the very rare 4 Cornerstone forms of Dim-Mak. Dim-Mak
does not actually have a system on its own, as Taiji and Bagua are the
foundation forms of Dim-Mak. However, near to the end of one’s physical
training at Wudang, 4 intricate but beautiful forms were taught to give
you the “keys” that unlock the whole of your training thus far! They are
based upon the four main EARTH elements of Water (River), Air (Wind),
Valleys and Mountains. They are based upon the internal aspects of those
“elements”, very powerful, often slow and flowing, often very explosive.

Bagua Pole Form
At last, Erle Montaigue has finally put onto DVD the brilliant Baguazhang Pole Form. Unlike the Bagua Staff form which is based upon the Linear Bagua Form, this Pole form is based solely upon the Classical Bagua Circular form. The pole is heavier and taller than the Staff Form Pole and is an excellent body building form as well as for self defence (if one were able to carry it in the street nowadays). Broken into 8 “Pole Changes” in the same way that the Bagua Empty hand circular form is, this form gives you all of the body work for the self defence area. It tones up all of the important muscle groups for fighting.

The Special Energy Flows On the 8
Extra Meridians in Yang Lu-ch’an’s Form: Volume One
This is an exciting area of your Tai
Chi training as it presents for the first time, the
special Qi flows along the 8
Extra Meridians! There are two types of energy flows in the body
during training in this form. There is the “ACTIVATION” of the Qi postures
which activate the Qi at the 12 main meridians during training and there
are the “Special Energy Flows” along the 8 extra meridians. The 12 Main
energy flows heal the body mainly
while the 8 extra meridian flows
give you the internal and external power over very short distances.
When one’s training is beginning to rise to a more advanced “Small Frame”
level, you will begin to feel these energy flows which will then change
the way you will perform the postures. If one were to teach this, it would
not be correct as it would be purely physical and not internal. You must
wait until you have risen to that high level before the special flows will
change the way you do each posture. Here, Erle teaches exactly where the
energy flows for these special power moves so that the student can be
aware of it once it begins. For instance, sometimes, the Qi will enter
through the Yang Chiao Mei from the ground and then join with the Dai Mai
meridian to cause great centrifugal power for striking etc. Volumes one
and two cover the whole of the first third of the Yang Lu-ch’an form, also
covered are some nice power Qigong methods.

Dim-Mak: The Most Practical and Most Deadly Point Strikes and
Combinations from Dim-Mak: Volume One.
Here, Erle Montaigue begins a new
and exciting area of training; that of Dim-Mak and the most easily
accessible and practical points to strike to gain the most effect. On
this volume 6 very violent self defence methods are taught all aimed
essentially at the CV22 point with peripherals including GB3, ST9, GV15
and other extremely dangerous Dim-Mak points. Also included is
Fa-Jing Testing which is the
only way to test one’s advancement in this explosive part of one’s
training. Fa-Jing is the motor of all Internal Fighting Systems without
which we would not even have a fighting art. It is the explosive
attacking method that teaches us how to gain great power from only a few
inches away. This is Erle Montaigue getting back to what he does best
and what he is known for. Real Self Defence methods, practical and
violent. They HAVE to be violent!

Push Hands: This Is How We Do It. Volume One: Double Push Hands
On this DVD, Erle Montaigue takes
you from scratch, exactly how to perform REAL push hands. Not the silly,
“you push me, I push you” type where both partners have huge low open
stances but rather a self defence
type of push hands, that teaches you how to fight at a sub-conscious
level. The power for striking and defence comes from push hands and the
more you practice, the more powerful you will become. All of the correct
muscle groups are exercised for self defence and not for competition.
This series is a must for anyone wishing to advance in their Tai Chi
training and indeed in their self defence ability over-all. Anyone, from
any system will gain great power by practising this method.

Tai Chi Cornerstones
The Tai Chi Cornerstones are the building blocks for advanced Tai Chi ch'uan practice. The basic form gives you the foundation, then the cornerstones give you the solid corners on which to build your "house". There are 4 cornerstones and all are based upon the Tai Chi Classics left to us by the Masters of old. We have the "Crown being pulled up by string" which is the first and most important as it teaches us exactly where to place the weight. Then we have the legs, the waist and the hands. All 4 are then joined and co-ordinated so that your Tai Chi builds into your advanced practice.

The Bagua Linear Qigong and Body Building Form:
This is an exciting area of one's Baguazhang training as it involves very
advanced methods of doing the Bagua Linear Form. Here we learn how to use this
great form as Qigong in order to completely re-balance the internal Qi.
Excellent for anti-depression etc.
We also learn that this form, when done in a different way can be used to build
body muscle for the self defence arts. Doing this form at this more explosive
level is like doing an hour at the gym. Excellent for self defence as it build
all the correct muscle groups for fighting.

One of the nicest Bagua Animal forms ever. You will feel the benefits both to your fighting skill s as well as to you own wellbeing and positive mind state. Combine this with the Bagua linear form and you will be flying for the rest of the day. it is just such a positive set of movements, it just makes one feel great! It works upon the Gall Bladder, Colon and Pancreas in the body and as the Gall Bladder meridian is the longest, covering the body from head to toe, the whole body is toned up when you practice this form.
Bagua Unicorn Boxing
The Unicorn is of the clouds and earth, he turns like a
tornado and the organs affected are the whole right side of the
abdomen including Gall Bladder, Colon and Pancreas. He is regal and
powerful attacking with front hooves as well as rear. The Unicorn’s
family member is the ‘Mother’.
Walk the circle once in a counter clockwise direction. Take an
inner L step to the centre as your body gyrates out of the
circumference and your both arms circle CW to the L and upward and
continue that circle downward. Take a L slap step on the
circumference as both palms knife edges touching, gouge upward.
Open both palms slightly as if grabbing both of the attacker’s arms and then thrust the R palm under the forearm of the left, circling CW upward. The L palm will now slide off the R forearm as your R foot steps forward on the circumference and you strike with your R elbow. As you do this, your L leg will spin around to the rear, spinning on the ball of the R foot to face CCW again.

Well, Erle promised last month
that the June workshop was going to concentrate on the combat aspects
of our system and boy did he deliver.
The sun shone on Saturday as we traversed across the country-
destination Llangadog. For once the Gods were smiling as the sun was
also shining on the other side of the Brecons!
As we all huddled inside the hall, Erle started with what has now become
our customary warm ups - striking the focus shields. We began
with the "crane spreads wings" punch directly from our form,
however, done with a slight twist. This time our so called "kill-shot"
was to become our secondary shot. The primary shot would be a stun type
shot followed instantly by the big guns firing!!! This really got the
muscles warmed up and then Erle started "drinking" one big lump from the
spitoon!!!!
Ok! If the above doesn't make sense then buy the video and you'll see
what I mean - the topic turned to the Reptilian Brian (yes, that
does read BRIAN - again those who were there will understand for the
rest read Brain!!!). Erle talked at length about the importance of
the reptilian brain during real combat and how to access this
wonderful organ. After explaining the "C" back and how that linked
with the reptilian brain mode, off we went again to work upon the
shields to develop these ideas. The strikes again were multiple
reflexive attacks in defending ourselves.
After a short break out came the bogo masks and we finally got to
strike directly at our targets as opposed pulling our punches. This,
again, added another dimension of reality to the training methods. As
before, Erle demonstrated the attacks on Eli (and jarred his neck on a
couple of occasions - healed with fatherly kisses!) before he let us
loose upon one another. Also covered: Angles of attack and
The Tai Chi Posture "Chee" with multiple kill methods.
As the day wore on we continued with the chin na applications,
which we started last month, covering "guard your house" & "fist under
elbow" as well as beginning the Hawk form of Baguazhang (more about this
later). We ended the Saturday by learning a qigong which would
help us develop our reptilian brain & "C" - back mode.
Thus, the day came to an end. It actually went rather quickly, as we
hugged each other & shook hands firmly. Myself and Jerry in our matching
purple tops - we could have been mistaken for twins in our colour
coordinated training gear until someone mentioned that Jerry was white
and that ended that!!!
Back we traversed across the land making a short pit stop at the
Sommerfields in Llandovery, where Kam was shocked to find the checkout
staff speaking - wait for it- English!!!
We arrived with our bruised and battered bodies back to Leicester,
hoping to fall into a deep slumber and get some rest for the next day -
did I heck!!! I ended up mowing Kam's mum's garden till 10 at night
while that git went home & slept!!!
Sunday morning, the sun shone, the birds sang until that is we passed
Hereford - dark clouds gathered on the Welsh borders as the summer came
to an end!
Onwards we went towards Llangadog to begin another day.
Well there were a few more faces on Sunday. Erle again drank from the
spitoon and we carried on from the previous day.
Yielding and understanding the classics regarding to this very
misunderstood topic was flavour of the day. Again, the detail and
information regarding this subject was of the highest quality,
delivered in a typically Erle fashion with the aid of a Monty Python
sketch!
However, all the horsing around didn't distract from the importance of
understanding what it meant to yield. Erle tied this subject up
beautifully by linking it's importance to the small frame form and
push hands or joining hands as he prefers to call it. This was
certainly an eye opener for those who perhaps haven't had the chance to
do a lot of push hands etc.
Once more we linked everything into practicing our attacks using the
concept of "yielding" followed by some chee sau including the reverse
roll. Again, throughout, Erle emphasised the importance of the
"power stance" whilst plying our trade.
We returned to the Hawk in the afternoon and continued from where we'd
left off the previous day. I'd like to think that by the fourth change,
we were all diving & tumbling as gracefully as the bird in question but
that'd be a lie!
Jerry looked like a chick that has tumbled out of it's nest! Elliot &
Neil appeared to be doing the form in synchronization, which rather
resembled Come Dancing! Kam tried to film it all without switching the
camera on & I, mercifully, faked an old war wound and saved myself for
the attempt to come in Germany!!!
At 1.45pm, I reminded Erle he had also promised to show us, both, the
yin & yang side of the Xingyi Fire Drill on the previous day, to
which he replied in the way only Erle can - "Oh F**K!"
And that's how the weekend ended. Ben rummaged around for a spare tape
and in ten minutes flat we had the Xingyi drill down and filmed. Most of
us were brain-dead at that point, so it didn't really matter! Oh, and we
had only made it 1/3 down Erle's list of things to do!!!
With broken bodies we said goodbyes, slumped into our cars and headed
home. And it rained!!!!
Roll on the next session on 30th June-1st July!!
P.S. I am so knackered that it is now 1.45 in the morning and I can't
sleep!!!

Taken from
Erle's Invitational Instructor only classes in Llangadog Wales.
This volume and the next volume 13 (above) include the following.
From Erle:
These classes are to teach about reflexive self defence. We do not
learn about sparring or even fighting, just real self defence from a
sub-conscious level. Sparring in fact is the worst thing that one can do
if you wish to learn about self defence as it causes you to learn about
sparring! And "Sparring" does not happen in the street, nor does
tournament "fighting". Sure, if you wish to do a sport then do your
tournament sparring but do not expect it to save you in a real fight! In
fact, many have discovered that it is almost impossible to learn real
self defence methods when they have learned and practiced tournament
sparring for many years or even become World Champions etc. First real
fight in the street and they go down. This is because they have never
worked upon reflexive actions, they have in fact tried to use their kata
as self defence! And Kata and Form are NOT for self defence, they were
only ever meant to teach us how to move, well "Form" was for that as
most karate schools teach that kata is for fighting!
So from now onward, this is where we take what we have already learnt in
these classes and put it into the real world. The punching mitts and
shields are now replaced by your body! We will be doing what we in the
internal call; "attack/defence". This is where one person will gear up
in protective stuff and try to knock his partner's head off! And his
partner has to react reflexively and register a solid and telling blow
onto the attacker's body.
Of course, this will move along very slowly as another damaging area for
real self defence is going into it too soon or simply having to fight
someone when you aren't ready. So do not worry, we will be taking it
very slowly and those who perhaps aren't up to it yet, we will be
gentle!
I will also be covering push hands, da-lu and ch'i-na along with stick
fighting on a more basic "bang 'em up" level as we have now finished the
twelve Wudang stick fighting methods forms.
Our multiple kill and single kill methods have now become a little more
sophisticated in that we have other things to do other than just bashing
the shyte out of the opponent! We still do that, but also take into
account that other things might happen and we have to be aware of these.
So these are incorporated into the training.
We will also continue with the developing of the "Fa-Jing Muscle"
training in order to train the group of muscles particularly involved in
issuing fa-jing or explosive energy.
Xingyi also gets a look in with the next of the drills covering
the fire elements both yin and yang drills.
So come along as these classes are accumulative and on-going so to
miss out, is to miss out!
Happy training

Here, Erle teaches the most important Bagua walking method. For the first time shown physically, the mud stepping and what it really means, why we have to walk in this way and exactly how to do it. ALso on this DVD an introduction to the "Fa-Jing Muscle", where it is and why. This group of muscles is essential for gaining power for punching and generally attacking. You cannot punch with greet power from short distances with the classic "6-pack" abs. This area will also be discussed in greater detail and exactly how to develop this muscle in the next Erle's Fighting System The Physical Side Volume.

This series of DVDs is being shot during Erle’s Invitation
only instructor’s classes, the 4th of which was held in Llangadog,
Wales UK 20th and 21st of January 2007.
The traditional way that one would learn Tai Chi, was to not speak.
You would simply watch and join in behind your instructor as he
would perform the form movements. This way, you would pick up a
little each time physically with the sub-conscious body remembering
and taking in the inner movements of the instructor. This is why
they say that it took some 6 years just to learn the form. In modern
times, we had to have a way to teach it a little quicker, so the
form was broken down into components and taught as individual
postures and movements. So you have two sides of the learning way.
So I decided after 40 years of doing this stuff to take the middle
road and teach this wonderful art to a handful of dedicated
students, in a semi-traditional way. So we took the form and broke
it down into a number of parts whereby the student would watch, then
join in and allow his or her body to pick up internally what was
happening. Then after some time, we would stop and take a look at
this module and make any corrections and give advice before going on
to the next module. This way has worked out really well with all
saying that they found it challenging to leave behind old ways of
learning but also very rewarding in that their body would pick it up
much quicker. So here we have the first 4 modules of this method of
learning, which is also a more advanced method encompassing all of
"How We Do Tai Chi". The waving form, the spiral or Silk Reeling
Form, the Stone Hands Form etc., This is simply How Tai Chi Is Done.
It doesn't replace the old breaking it all down method of learning
as most will probably wish to stick with that way. But for those who
wish to take this art into the sub-conscious realms, this might
prove invaluable. And even when you have already learnt the form to
a degree in the old way, it is quite challenging to learn it this
way and many of our most senior instructors found this very helpful
to their understanding.

This series of DVDs is being shot during Erle’s Invitation only instructor’s

21st of January 2007. Here, Erle presents for the first time, Yang’s 5th
House, the little known physical side of the Yang Style, no BS, no
mystical garbage, just excellent and practical physical stuff on
gaining great power for multiple strike kill methods to all parts of the
body. The Yang Shou-hou side of the Yang Family was quite hard and
often, blood would be left on the floor. Gaining the power from
short distances was the key to this type of training. Speed was
useless unless extreme power was also present. So this series gives
you that ultimate power. You will gain the confidence knowing that
you can take anyone out no matter how large or powerful he is with
one or two strikes.
Included on this volume:
Multiple Strike
Kill Methods:
Knife and Stick Fighting, the realistic
way for the street. Tai Chi Chee-Sau (Sticking Hands), Short Stick
Fighting, Applications of over-kill.
It’s no use learning all of the forms etc., and not knowing how to
punch! And it has been our experience that not many people actually
know how to punch. Sure many can line themselves up and break
boards, but in the street instantly, they cannot gain the necessary
power from only centre metres away to take someone out instantly
with one punch. This DVD teaches how to do this.

The Phoenix is that mythical bird that tries to fly into the sun. However, the Chinese Phoenix has his feet stuck to the ground so never quite gets off. He represents the Lungs and the lower lumber vertebra. His element is Wind/AIR. His attacking method is ‘windmill palm’. The family member of the Phoenix is the ‘Eldest Daughter’. The phoenix uses whatever it has to defend itself. It will use its wings/hands, beak and feet. It will use locks and holds while the feet or beak attack. So we see with this animal, some nice footwork. This form is excellent for when you are perhaps bogged down and need some motivation. The lungs are the powerhouse of the body and so this form works on the lungs thus giving great power in fighting and healing. The phoenix form makes many movements on the outside of the circle. This is the balance the Qi internally and it is this that gives you motivation from this form.

This is the final in the series and takes you from the end of Volume 8 to the end of the third 3rd. This volume is particularly beautiful as it includes some really useful and beautiful qigong methods, like the Spiral way of Slant Flying opens up the 7 Gates to spiritual Qi when done in the Spiral manner. The next postures of Fair Lady Works Shuttles, then takes that energy input and locks it in to the tantien. The 3rd third has been really formulated to work the Qi even more so. The final moves from Step Forward to 7 Stars up to the punch after the Lotus kick really get the body working in complete harmony with the inner flow of Qi, then the explosive punch really grounds that Qi into the tantien.

Baguazhang is an amazing fighting system for realistic self defence. It teaches us to react at a reflex level instinctively and sub-consciously, using whatever method is suitable for that type of attack upon you. This is where Erle Montaigue learnt how to fight; the exact methods he used to take his internal arts to that higher level. On this volume, Erle takes you further into the fighting methods of Bagua, covering the very deadly methods of ‘Single Pounding Palm’, point striking and fighting techniques. This series will teach you at a reflex level how to REALLY fight rather than simply learning some kata and expecting that to help you!

The Snake represents Water and the organs are Bladder, Liver, Kidneys and Spleen. The Snake flows with the force in order to defeat it, he slips in anywhere without you knowing! The Snake’s family member is the ‘Second Son’.
This form is particularly good for the whole body when done at its correct speed. The movements from the waist are the key to this form and also to the healing aspects. This form works upon the life force meridians of Kidneys Bladder, Liver and Spleen thus toning up the whole energy system. I can attest to this as I am possibly one of the most ‘tested’ medically people around, so I am able to test before and after training in this form. You feel energized and alive after it. As a side line to this form, it contains some of the most deadly and useable fighting methods of any martial system, emulating the movements of the snake with its powerful mid-section acting as a turbo to throw out the upper and lower limbs with great power and speed.

On this second volume, Erle covers the very important area of Sinking.
Without correct sinking, we never really get to know what real internal
arts are about. Sinking is the very foundation of all internal systems,
but most people only ever try to get to this level at a conscious level.
Balance, grounding, power, fighting ability and self healing are all
enhanced when one has the ability to 'SINK'. Read an article on Sinking

Taken from Erle Montaigue's March 2006 workshop
in London UK, This series catalogues all of those very important
training and fighting methods that cannot be put into any particular
category.
On this first volume, Erle covers and teaches, the most important area
of Qi Awakening using firstly, two methods, one from Bagua and one for
Taiji, in order to 'wake the qi' ready for action. These are excellent
methods for instance for teachers who are beginning a new (or current)
class and wish to gain some cohesion between the students and a
balancing of the total energy in that class. You will find that if the
energy is a little low to begin with (cold), after these are given, the
whole class will be 'up'.
Also included on this first volume is the way of 'bumping push hands'
whereby the student learns how to sub-consciously think about multiple
things at the same time and of course this is important for the fighting
arts.

Bear Form:
The Bear represents the Mountain. He is steadfast, powerful and one of the earth. The bear is ferocious when protecting its young, but gentle at home. His organ is the stomach so this form works upon the ST meridian mainly. The family member of the Bear is the ‘Youngest Son’. This is one of the shortest of the Full Bagua Animal forms because the Bear does not need that many techniques. So truly deadly and ferocious fighting methods are presented in this DVD title along with one of the best healing forms.

Not really 10,000, this is just the way that the Chinese have of describing that there are a lot of them. 10,000 seems to be the number that they use for everything that has to be done a lot. Here, Erle Montaigue carries on with the long awaited series on the main applications from the postures of the Yang Lu-ch'an form showing not only the basics but also the dim-mak applications following each posture. This is not meant to teach the Old Yang Style as one should already know it, it is just to demonstrate and to teach what each posture is for. On this volume Erle takes you from the posture known as High pat on Horse just before the first kicking section and up to the posture called High Pat On Horse, (but not including) in the third 3rd.

On this volume, Erle talks about the power
that is gained from the Internal systems and how to gain it through various
Qigong methods. Not only the physical power of being able to use fa-jing to
strike with amazing power from very short distances, but mainly, the power
that you can gain to help you in your daily life; how to change your
circumstances; how to get things to happen. You cannot use this power to hut
others or for evil reasons, only for the good of others and yourself. These
internal methods will teach you how to gain this power and how to use it to
change your life or to set you onto the correct path that you should be on
already but perhaps may not be able to see the 'wood for the trees' so to
speak.
Erle also continues on how to teach the basic form to stark beginners.

The Lion is the most violent of all the Bagua animals. He is solemn, explosive and aggressive. His power is awesome and his organ is the head/mind. He represents ‘Heaven’. His family member is the ‘Father’.
As with all of these animal forms, even in their Qi Awaking state, you must always keep in mind the animal they represent. You cannot simply do these movements as human beings. That is why the movements were formatted the way they are, so as to bring out the animal in us for self defense.
This form above all others will lead
one into the contact with their ‘Reptile Brain’
Also included on this DVD are some very useful 'Lion' violent fighting
methods which are not for the faint at heart!

Continuing the instructor's courses; this volume begins showing exactly how to teach the Yang Cheng-fu form, which is also pertinent to all other forms. Erle shows some of his tricks of the trade so to speak, in trying to get new students to understand how to move correctly. It's not enough to learn a form and then go out and show someone else how to do it; you must also know HOW to teach it. And this is what Erle teaches on this volume. Also covered is the continuing 'bumping arms' practice, taking you more into the advanced methods of this wonderful conditioning exercise which is great for those students beginning their Tai Chi or Bagua training as it shows them that there is another side to the internal arts other than just a dance or health exercise. Also covered is the Tai Chi Chee Sau, or Sticking Hands, adding some foot work to the basic hand movements. If you are interested in becoming an instructor or already are one, then this series is definitely for you. The form itself is covered in such detail that a ruler is almost required to get the exact positioning of the arms hands and feet. And Erle also gives his acquired anecdotes in order to teach beginners exactly how, when and where to move their hands and feet.

Erle Montaigue continues his excellent series on how to teach an internal martial/healing arts class. In the beginning, Erle was only concentrating upon teachers who already had experience in teaching. However, more and more beginners wanted to see what this class was all about and it has been found that they have discovered also, an excellent way to learn the internal from the ground up. In learning what the 'teacher' must know, they also learn a huge amount and gain a great insight into the whole area of learning the Internal Arts. On this volume, Erle takes you through some amazing qigong exercises that are tailored to the beginning class in order to bring the whole class into a learning phase and to concentrate the energy of that class as a whole upon what is being taught. Some excellent fighting methods are also taught as part of this way of bringing the class together.

The Monkey is the closest animal to the human being and as such we are able to emulate this wonderful and deadly fighting system easier. The monkey is relentless in his attack using relaxed but deadly palm fighting methods which makes use of his very heavy arms. When you are struck by this method, it feels like a huge piece of wood has struck you. There are 8 separate sections all joined together into one beautifully flowing and powerful form. Each section has one or two 'modules' which have something in common, a way of fighting. When done correctly, this form is able to bring out the 'animal within' or the 'reptile brain' within. Once this aspect is mastered, you will have one of the most formidable fighting systems ever invented. This DVD runs for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Many people have asked for this series covering purely the physical movements techniques and ideas from what has become to be known as 'The Erle Montaigue Fighting System'. On this volume, Erle gives an introduction to this way of fighting which has been derived from the internal arts of Tai Chi Ch'uan and Baguazhang. He introduces the idea of using longer weapons that the attacker and making the attacker feel like there is no distance between he and you (you have struck him before he has even time to strike you). Erle covers leg attacks using your front foot and how to gain great power off of this foot. He gives some really good fighting methods using the feet. Then he goes on to begin the way of Monkey Boxing and how it really relates to human beings and how to gain the tremendous power that Monkeys have in their arms and hands. He teaches the Monkey on-guard stance as wel las the human on-guard stance and how to go into the 'reptile brain' from this stance. In a nutshell, this series teaches you how to fight like a wild animal and not like a human being!

On this volume Erle Montaigue takes you through the learning of the Phoenix, Monkey and Lion entering and fighting methods. The Monkey and Lion are just so effective as are all of them, but these two are Erle's favourites. Not only the Entering Methods, but also the basic fighting methods of each animal is shown and demonstrated. This is an excellent series for learning how to fight like an animal and getting right away from static stances and 'martial arts' applications etc.

On this DVD, Erle continues the excellent series for instructors. This time Erle teaches how to use your own qi or energy to hold a class together, how to manage the energy of a class, how to bring it up and how to bring it down again. How to cater to individual needs and thereby catering to the group as a whole. How to balance the energy of the whole group. You must come armed with not only your knowledge and how well you do the things you teach, but also with the ability to manage the energy of a group of 100 people. Also on this volume, Erle completes the Wudang stepping exercises with the last 4 of these excellent training methods for balance internal and external.

Bagua has an unique way of teaching about internal power and as
with all internal systems all one has to do, is to train in a few
simple training methods in order to gain great power from within and
from without. There are actually 16 training methods crammed into
this one volume because each of the 8 sets has an inner part and an
outside method. I.E. Fighting and entering methods when you are on
the 'inside' of the attacker's arms and those when you are on the
outside of his arms.
These methods can also be used as entering methods when an opponent
has a strong on guard stance etc. They are done solo as well as with
a training partner taking the energy or Qi right up through the
ground and out of the palms. These are also excellent for the
healing arts such as massage, tui-na, acupuncture etc.
