NB: It might be a good idea for those who aren't used to eating good food, to perhaps do a bit of a "detox" for at least a few days as there will not be any sugar, meat or dairy at the retreat! Also NOTE! This is NOT a Workshop as such. It is NOT a holiday, it is a total experience including food and staying at the place with everyone else! So it will not be good to "escape" to the local Kentucky Fired chicken place or go home and have your normal meals etc. So the price is inclusive and everyone pays the same. So I say right now that anyone not wishing to do this camp should opt out now, as I need to know REAL numbers!

WHEN: Arrive (for those coming in from far away) Friday the 15th of May after 2 pm. Training begins Saturday 16th May 8 am. Leave around 2 pm Sunday the 17th of May.

COST: £110.00 includes food, accommodation from Friday evening until Sunday 2pm.

A light evening meal will be served on the Friday evening for those who will be there for that arrival day.

What to Bring. Something to sleep on in the hall. Or a tent as we can use the field outside.

Facilities: Showers and toilets are in the Community Hall. And a Stage for anyone wishing to entertain on the Saturday evening?

WHAT:
Saturday. 8 am
. "Getting to know Qigong". Posture, breathing, physical stuff. At least 20 to 30 minutes of standing Qigong, which is a very light introduction to standing!

9 am to 10 am: Light breakfast. Gaynor Vaughan will be doing the cooking so it will be good. Possible Porridge and toast etc. NO DAIRY: NO MEAT will be allowed at the camp!

10 am until 12 noon: At least 30 minutes standing Qigong with a talk upon "Focus". More on "HOW" to do it etc. A slower Tai Chi form practice of Yang Lu-ch'an's form. Some corrections but mainly practice.

12 noon until 1 pm: Lunch (to be announced, but probably light salad, bread etc.)

1pm until 2 pm: More standing Qigong concentrating upon only one point getting ready for the no-mind state. Power Pushing Hands Practice.

Evening Meal: Whatever, Gaynor cooks up? At around 6.30 pm?

WHAT: SUNDAY:
8 am until 9 am:
3 Circle Standing Qigong with emphasis on only one thing, the breathing. Special visualizations to help this. We will do this for around 40 minutes. Lessons on other methods of Qigong and enhancements to this using wooden sticks on the arms etc.

10 am until 12 noon: Standing Qigong with moving Qigong methods to gain power. A slow Yang Lu-ch'an form practice. Some corrections? Power Pushing Hands.

1 pm until 2 pm: Standing Qigong with the emphasis upon NOTHING!

Qigong is THE singularly most important part of your training especially in the first 15 years of your training. It should be continued however forever. This is what gives you focus and clears the mind of all the rubbish that we accumulate over the years. So, I will be holding my first Qigong Retreat held over a weekend to be announced. This will be the most difficult class you have attended but the rewards will be great.

"it will be long, it will be hard and there will be no withdrawals"! (to quote a very famous Brit) Something like a Vipassana retreat only harder! Qigong really shows you where your training is at and your mind must be still and empty in order to get over the pain associated with this method. And I guarantee that all participants will NOT be practicing Qigong correctly! So this is an ideal time for corrections as well as the hard work.

I will be teaching exactly how to do the basic Mother Qigong, exactly where to focus and how the breathe. However, the main thrust of the camp will be DOING it, then DOING it some more. Food will be provided, but this will be very basic, no meat, no dairy, no coffee etc. in keeping with traditional healing methods of Qigong.

I only want those who are willing to do the work to apply for this retreat so make note that it will be hard! There will be no dropping of the hands because they hurt or no standing up because your legs hurt!

There will of course be some Tai Chi training which comes with the job in Qigong but this will also be hard.

Please CONTACT me at HERE if you are interested in the camp. Fees will depend upon the venue.

Kind regards

Erle
