Everything was taught at the basic level, step by step, in a way that everyone when away actually knowing how to do it, mind and body.
So if you're a beginner, or you're working towards getting your grade one instructors degree, then this would be a great set for you to have.
This series of course doesn't replace actually being at camp, as it's the ability to ask questions and get personal details corrections that really makes you advance in your training, but if you were unable to make it to camp this time, then you will still learn a huge amount from this video set.
Not only does it include a huge amount of training, but you will see everything in a different light.
The camp environment brings out things never seen because of the questions being asked and Eli seeing the mistakes people are making.
So even if you have other videos covering the same stuff, you will see it all from a different angle here.
The camp involved about 7 hours of classes each day, then people would do more training into the evenings, having so many people to choose from to train with.
In the YLC form we were focusing on structure and movement from the pelvis, hips, knees and feet.
What you have to know to pass grade one instructors.
We also looked at how to connect postures together with out loosing flow.
We looked at how to activate the Qigong aspects of your form as well, even from the basic level.
Qigong the focus was on getting the spine right.
Push Hands, Eli Broke it down like never before!
Even the the people who had never done a day of Taiji in their lives were getting it, step by step looking at every detail of each part of Single Push Hands.
In the Small San Sau we focused on what you need to know to pass grade one instructors, looking at how every posture must be circular in order to not create tension.
How to correctly throw the punches for your partner, to make sure they are learning the right stuff from the training.
Both solo and partner form was covered, as well as working a lot of the strikes on mitts.
Please note this video series was filmed during camp, where Eli is putting his full attention into the students who attended, so do not expect studio quality lighting and sound.
But it's perfectly fine to see and hear clearly
