Bagua Hooks Knives. Volume one takes you through the first 2 sections. A very rare weapon form that Erle leant in Hong Kong in the early 80s. He never mentioned who he learnt it from or what lineage it comes from. The form has a good mix of simple and practical applications, as well as some more exotic ones that promote strength and fitness. With the weight of the knives in your hands while doing these movements, it gives a very nice shoulder workout, as well as having a series of low postures and leaping movements to strengthen the legs. This was a form Erle never got around to putting on video. He also never taught it anywhere outside of his own family. He never even finished teaching it to Eli. Eli was left with an incomplete form. Some of it he had learnt properly from Erle, some he had very briefly run through, some information he had in written text, and other parts he had only seen done. From this, as well as his extensive knowledge of Bagua in general, including other Bagua weapons such as the Pole and Deer Horn Knives, Eli has done his best to put together a form which he believes to be as close to what Erle knew as we're going to get. Unless anyone ever finds someone back in China teaching it, then please let us know! We would love to know what we are missing of this form. The form is taught on the assumption that you already know the Bagua Circular form. You can either make your own set of knives, based on what they look like, or you can buy a set just like the ones used in the videos, which can be found herehttps://www.taijiworld.com/bagua-hook-knives.html
