Location:
Preston Park https://maps.app.goo.gl/MX8pj7AeP7vYsGSv7
This this google maps link, we will meet for training right where the pin point is on the first morning, from there we will choose a nice place to train.
We also have access to Nicholas Blewett's training gym just 10 minutes walk from the park, we will meet and train there if the weather turns wet or very windy.
It will be self catering, so everyone will sort out there own food and accommodation.
The camp will be suitable for all skill levels.

Eli will be teaching a good mixture of things for all levels.
Warm Ups.
Every morning we will go through a set of warm ups, not only to get the body ready for the training ahead, these are also used to learn about strength and mobility in a more simple manner than in the Taiji or Bagua form.
Taiji & Bagua Form.
Sections of the YLC and YCF Taiji form, as well as the Bagua circular form will be taught.
Some sections you may have done before, in which case the aim is to refine what you know.
Some sections may be new to you, this will give you a chance to try something new.
Small & Large San Sau Partner Forms.
These will be taught at the same time, therefore it will depend on your current level as to which form you will learn.
Large will be taught to WTBA instructors, & students who already know it, everyone else will learn small.
Qigong.
A lot of different Qigong will be practiced in the mornings.
Guided standing or sitting meditation, Qi Development Tools, Deadly Katas, breath work and how to apply different breathing methods to forms and Qigong's.
Sticky Hands.

Sticky Hands.
Instructors will practice advanced Sticky Hands Sparring, beginners will be shown the first steps and work their way up through the stages during camp.
Single and Double Push Hands.
As with the Small & Large San Sau, these two will be taught at the same time.
Instructors will practice double, as well as any students who are already able to do the basics.
Everyone else will focus on single.
Bagua Circle Sparring.
This will be for everyone, however like with sticky hands, the instructors will be shown the rougher fighting techniques, while beginners are shown more about flow and readings skills.

Combat.
This is where we apply our Taiji & Bagua skills to practical combat.
This is not for everyone, so if you are not interested in the combat area of training, you can either take a break, or practice more of your form work, Eli will be happy to give you some tips while you practice.
We take the simple techniques, those which are most likely to work in a real fight, drill them in a free form manner with the use of gloves so that the punches coming in are realistic. This does not mean you'll be throwing full force, but it does mean you'll get a light punch in the face if you get things wrong.
Beginners start off as slow as they need to. This is not fight club, we're not interested in sending you home injured, safety if paramount, both short term and long term.
This area of training will focus on three main areas, striking, grappling, ground fighting. The forth area of kicking may be covered.
The first three areas are most important for self defence since they are the most common type of attacks on the street.
To participate fully in this area of training, you'll need a set of WTBA training gloves. Normal boxing glove should be ok, but they will greatly limit what you can learn.
Other MMA type gloves might be ok if they are of the same safety standard as the WTBA gloves, you can send a picture to Eli to check this.
You can still practice without, but it would mean having to go much slower.
If you do not have a set of suitable gloves, you can purchase a set from Eli at camp, but you will need to order these in advance.
We will also do one afternoon session at a matted gym for work in ground fighting.
Those not interested in this can either sit and watch, or have the afternoon off to enjoy the beautiful area of Currumbin.
