The 12 deadly katas (also known as the Wudang 12 circular palm techniques) are a set of 12 very short forms, some just three strikes long, that hold within them all the principles of the internal fighting arts.
Fighting Applications
With each form you learn a new set of fighting applications, close range life or death kind of stuff.
We must alway train in both lethal and non lethal fighting methods, so we can use the correct methods for any given situation.
In this case, it's the lethal methods, they are not called the deadliest katas for nothing!
Dim-Mak
Leaning about real Dim-Mak, not the Hollywood style magic you see all over YouTube these days, Dim-Mak simply means striking to the most vulnerable places.
Some of these are obvious to everyone, the eye, the groin, the solarplexius etc, but theses are not always open to you in a fight, so learning where all the others are will give you the edge.

Qigong
but the form is also a Qigong, each one activating a different meridian.
These Qigongs are done vigorously to light a fire within you, but also done in a very calming manner to activate the yin in ones body, it is the different breathing methods used that will bring out the yin or the yang in the Qigong.
Partner Training
These forms are also practiced as a partner fighting application, where you pair up and practice the attack defence methods of the form, once learnt this will then pass over into your sparring training at a later stage.
The strikes from each from will also be practiced on pads to learn how to gain the correct body movement for each one.
Times and Training
Saturday 11am till 5pm.
Sunday 9am till 3pm.
Each day with a one hour break.
Eli will teach through as many of the 12 as there is time for, if we do not get through them all, a follow up workshop will be scheduled to complete them.

Disclaimer. Can these methods kill someone?
Of course they can, a simple punch to the head can kill someone, so a technique that is actually designed to kill someone is even more likely to do so.
The real question is, how likely is it really that you will kill someone with these methods?
It's not a nice thing to talk about, none of us want to kill another life form, but but it's important to talk about the reality of it.
As a martial artist, the goal is never to kill, it is simply to do what must be done to protect yourself and those who need your protection.
What we want in a life threatening situation, like a home invasion where you're kids are asleep upstairs, is to cause knock-out, then call the police.
However, you can never know in the heat of the moment how hard you need to hit this particular person to cause KO, if you hit too hard you might kill them, if you hit too little you give them the advantage, they may take you out and then get to your family. So, of cause in this situation you hit them as hard as you can, in the most deadly place possible, the risk to your family is too high if you don't. If they hit the floor and are unconscious but not dead however, you do not continue to kick him in the head, because the aim was never to kill.
I can't tell you that you're unlikely to cause death, because you might, this is why these type of methods should only ever be used in the most serious of situations where you believe the attacker is trying to kill you. Unless you are a wold champion level fighter, you cannot take the risk of going easy on them.
If he is going all out trying to kill you, and you are holding back, you'll be overpowered.
So, you can simply go all out, then hope you have not killed them. Tie him up and start CPR if you have to.
