- Small groups of only 3 or 4 people, grouped together by Eli for skill level and type of training wanted.
- Dates set for each group to suit.
- Cost is only £500 per person, discounted from the usual £900 for this type of group private class.

Plus £250 for accommodation near by. Total cost even if you choose to eat out, should be similar to a Malta camp, but you can also prepare your own food in the kitchen of your apartment.
You'll miss out on the seaside location, but gain in the personalised training with such a small group. Plus it's still a lovely location here in the valleys.
Once your groups date has been set, payment will need to be made upfront to secure your place in that group. - Training in Wales at the Montaigue's home. Just 10 minutes walk from the apartment in the village in which you will stay.
- 6 days training 5 hours per day
- These will replace the usual Malta camps in April 2026, and will be spread out over the first half of the year.
We will then still have combat camp in July and the usual Malta camp in November. - Book in now to get the best selection of dates.
There is no deadline to book in, however, the sooner you book in, the more chance you'll have of being accepted.
Full Details:
A full training camp like we do in Malta, but with only 3 or 4 people in each one.
This is for the very serious student or instructor, as training will be more intense, almost like a one to one private class.
You might have heard there would be no Malta camps in 2026, instead having one big summer camp in central Europe.
This is not going to happen now. Instead, for the first half of the year in Europe we will have these special private classes, then Combat Camp in July and the usual Malta camp in November.
USA and Australian training camps in 2026 might be running, but will not be confirmed till we know the numbers.

As you know, I am working on putting out a new WTBA grading syllabus, something I have been working on for a long time, to create a unified teaching platform for WTBA instructors.
This was Erle's last plan right before he died, never getting a chance to implement it.
This doesn’t mean you can’t teach in your own way, far from it, everyone should teach their classes in their own way, but how the forms and drills are done needs to be the same, so the students do not get confused.
These special classes in 2026 will be to update instructors, or create new ones. Refining what they are already doing, making sure that everyone understands why the forms are done the way they are etc.
Eli will have his hawk eye on you, picking out the most subtle of things you need to work on.
The new grade one test will be far stricter than it used to be. Less is more, therefore it will be less content, but higher quality.
But don't worry, if you are unable to pass this new test, your current grade will not be taken from you.
You might just need a bit more time to work on it.
You might just need a bit more time to work on it.
The aim will be for all instructors to align to this. At least those actively teaching for the WTBA.
These classes are of course not only to update what you are teaching, but also to refine it, like I said, the new grade one is much tougher than it use to be.
Passing will require your skills to be top notch in those basics within the first grade. After a week of training like this, your training will be on another level, you'll feel it!
There will be some people who are already fully aligned, in these cases, those instructors will be shown what they need to work on for the next grade.
Instructors will be grouped into 3 or 4 people of similar skill and interests. Meaning if your main focus is form and the softer way of doing push hands and san sau, you will not be paired in a group with people wanting to fight.
With such a small group, it’s nearly a private class. At Malta camps with around 7 to 10 people, you get a lot of hands-on detail, this will be a lot more.
Each of these mini camps will be 6 days of training, 5 hours per day. Similar to a Malta camp, but we would have two training sessions of 2.5 hour each. 9am till 11:30am, then 2pm till 4:30pm. Perhaps making the last day finish early if people need to catch a flight.
There is an apartment 10 minutes walk from our house which I will rent for each group, this will cost £250 per person for the week.
You can cook your own food in the kitchen, or there are a number of takeout places in the village.
