A weekend workshop with Eli Montaigue

  Taking a few movements from the Old Yang form, Eli will teach at it's basic level focusing on correct structure and posture, and also showing the more advanced details for those who already know the basics. 

  
  
  
  

• Bagua Circular form

  
  

  For those interested, Eli will do a small session on some of the movements from this form, to give you a taste. 

  
  
  
  

• Interactive Pad Work

  
  

  This is where we learn how to strike correctly, but also how to miss correctly! Missing is something you will do a lot more than landing your strikes in a fight. With this interactive pad work, you'll get into a striking drill, then your pad holder will randomly drop a pad as you try to strike it, as well as throwing strikes back at you, to make sure you're keeping your guard up while striking.

  Push Hands is where we work with a partner to develop good structure and redirection of force, as well as issuing of force and many other skills that can be used in day to day life or in combat.
