The "Waving kata" is one of the most beautiful and most deadly. It teaches us about the wave of energy that we use to disrupt someone's energy and thus defeat them. 

The energy waves out from the Tantien up through the trunk and manifests in the hands and fingers gaining volume and power as it waves outward. We then learn to put this wave of energy into a person's points for healing or for self defence.
